In the closing months of 2021, I had the opportunity to collaborate with 1047 Games to revamp their livestream and broadcast visuals. The project focused on creating a fresh, engaging look that would enhance their community’s viewing experience and bring renewed energy to their on-air presence.
Introduction
Building on the established Splitgate visual identity, my goal was to create a fresh, captivating spin-off that would enhance the experience for streams and broadcast media. This project focused on innovating within the brand’s existing framework, carefully integrating new, dynamic elements while preserving the core aesthetics that make Splitgate recognizable and engaging. Through a balance of creativity and consistency, I set out to elevate Splitgate’s on-screen presence, ensuring a cohesive look that both longtime fans and new viewers would instantly connect with.

Crafting a Futuristic Identity
Driven by the concept of integrating the tech theme synonymous with Splitgate, I was intentional about reimagining it in a manner that would lend a fresh and captivating visual identity to the brand. Leveraging the distinctive Splitgate color scheme, my approach aimed to achieve not just aesthetic appeal but also an enticing, sleek, and futuristic visual experience. The strategic use of colors not only aligned with the brand but also introduced depth, resulting in graphics that seamlessly merged innovation with a polished aesthetic.
Fusing Motion and Future
Our aim stretched beyond surface-level aesthetics. it was about pulling you into a story where every visual detail makes you feel like you're surrounded by cutting-edge technology. Choosing the GUI (Graphic User Interface) look and feel of certain elements wasn't just for looks; it was a purposeful decision to take you on a journey that smoothly mixes the present and the future. This carefully thought-out approach isn't just for show; it harmonizes perfectly with the fundamental themes that shape the universe of Splitgate through the dynamic movement of motion design. Recognizing Splitgate's signature portal-to-portal combat, I came up with the idea of giving some assets in the package a portal vibe. For instance, I focused on stream alerts that pop up on the screen whenever there's viewer interaction during the live stream. This isn't just a nod to Splitgate's unique gameplay – it's about turning the viewer experience into an exciting journey. Each alert turns into a portal, opening up to more interaction and excitement within the Splitgate broadcasts.
